Camping Island of Rab
The island of Rab is known for its picturesque bathing coves with sand beaches, its Mediterranean vegetation, and its natural beauty.
Rab is located to the south of the Kvarner Bay. One of the main attractions are the dolphins that romp about in the Rabski canal in front of the island’s eastern coast. The city of Rab, whose roots stretch back to antiquity, has a fascinating old city centre with several churches and Renaissance buildings. The small, idyllic places on the island are worth a visit. The “Dundovo” conservation forest with its wealth of plant life offers ideal rambling opportunities to friends of nature. The mountain of Kamenjak (408 metres above sea level) offers an incredible view of the Adriatic. The island of Rab has something for every age group with its sand, pebble and stone beaches. The bathing season here lasts from May to October. Families with children, excellent swimmers, divers, leisure swimmers and older guests have plenty of fun here.
Towns and Places
Lopar-San Marino – the northernmost city on the island – is a natural phenomenon with its 22 sand beaches. One of these is the famous, 1.5-kilometre-long “paradise beach”, which is adjacent to the auto campground “San Marino”.
The City of Rab
Rab is an island of memories and a city of living history, with legends and patron saints whose reliquaries are still preserved today in Rab. Caesar Octavian Augustus declared Rab a city in the year 10 BC.

Rab has a very pleasant Mediterranean temperature in the summer that averages 26° C. The average water temperature of the ocean is 24° C in the summer.
