Nearby, there is a hiking trail to the Bag viewpoint, from which you can admire a spectacular panorama. Another interesting point is the town of Krk - the capital of the island and one of the oldest cities in Croatia with medieval defensive walls, a cathedral, a romantic old town and a seaside promenade full of restaurants and cafes. On the eastern coast, we recommend visit in Vrbnik - a picturesque town on a cliff, famous for its Žlahtina wine and one of the narrowest streets in Europe. Also worth visiting is the the Biserujka Cave with spectacular rock formations. From the town of Punat, you can take a boat trip to the tiny, green island of Košljun with Franciscan monastery and museum. For foodies who want to try typical Croatian cuisine, we recommend tasting lamb dishes, fresh seafood and local wine.
